東洋美術的な「余白」を自然界の雪や雲の白い余白から見出し、精神的な深みへと追求するシーズン・ラオの新作を中心とした展覧会です。
新作「美濃・余白」は、ラオが美濃の企画招待を受けた滞在中の、降りしきる大雪と美濃和紙との出会いから生まれました。「余白」に対する世界観と、優しさと柔らかさを含んだ本美濃和紙（世界文化遺産）の無垢な余白、二つの「余白」を重ねた「美濃・余白」新シーリズを中心に、ラオのセレクト作品をどうぞご覧ください。（池田 眞知子 / ギャラリー白川）

This is an exhibition of Season Lao, who pursues the spiritual depths of Oriental art by finding “Yohaku” (blank space) in the white of nature’s snow and clouds.
Lao’s new work, Mino Yohaku, was born from an encounter with the heavy snowfall and Mino washi paper during his stay in Mino, where he was invited to participate in a project. Please enjoy Lao’s selection of works centering on the new Mino-Yoshaku Series, which overlaps two spaces: the world view of “Yohaku” and the gentle Yohaku of Hon Mino Washi (a world cultural heritage).
